Hello everybody who actually comes to this blog, I am back again! haha considering it's been more than 6 mths since I posted anything, I am sureone or two of you missed my entries to entertain you guys. I am actually at the business school (in good old cold oxford) and I am supposed to be studying! But of course i m epicly failing at doing that, and it's ok! Because I am sian and bored and a tad lonely because i have to study alone, i miss my mugging buddies of rj :(

Ok enough of depressing me, How is everyone? will be nice if u can blog here, even better if u can write me an email to spice up my depressing December. Ok la it;s not thatt bad, seeing snow is always quite fun tho the post-snow damage is quite a disaster. I hope noone else (like dani/guanghao) is getting stuck at airports or getting flights cancelled. do u know that some ppl get stuck in a tunnel from london to paris for like, 6 hrs, just because the train couldnt move because the engine breaks down? tt'slike our dearest singapore version of london eye (cant rmb wad it's called) getting jammed for 6hrs, in the dark

hai global warming. i don really know much abt copenhagen other than tt it's an epic failure, as evidenced by 8% fall in carbon permits trading. see? u know issues through financial times, so econs is actually quite a good degree, minus the saving lives part i guess. there's a gd chance i will end up working for a bank so pls dont slam me for goldman's bonuses, i kinda wish i can get that too hahahaha ok this is getting lame so i shall stop here..

i just went to look through my email account (the one tt i don check but gets council mails) and true enough the absence of poon meant no makan noobs this year! how sad right, i guess medics jus finished their exams and have a one day break so there isnt much of a moood for food trails or major meet ups. on the bright side, i will be back in er, 9 mths! haha actually i will probably work in indonesia so yeah i will make at least mthly trips to singapore, then when zhang jun is free/back since she will b back in 6mths time too, we can have major gatherings at her place again! or wadever la, pls make sure tt u try to meet me when i do come by sg, considering most of u wouldnt have seen me for like, a year?

ok back to my notes for er 30 mins before lunch time :) i m damn sad la, eating cold sandwiches because they are the cheapest and readily available options, warm meals will involve going out into the cold, which kinda defeats the purpose right? okok ciao ppl, merry christmas and happy new year 2010!! :D

Not in Sg unfortunately.. haha it's a pleasant surprise to come to the blog once in a while to find a picture uploaded, or a short blog entry, at least we knoe this blog is alive to some ppl and yeah considering some of u guys r going to meet e 29ths soon, it's been 4 yrs since we survived the torrids of heaven n hell :)

It's past 12am in oxford now and I just spent the day trying to mug, quite successfully i guess considering i have been playing for quite some time. spent a week in Junli's place btw but too bad boss is away at a christian conference, but yeah boss apparently did the Ra Ra Ra Ra Ffles!! on my last night hahaha miss hearing the cheers and match supports, but I guess I shd b able to hear it once in a while in 2 yrs time..

That's of course, if I end up going back to Sg. Quite sad la, i think this summer is mostly spent in Indonesia and not Sg, though I will try to come back and as usual force u guys to accomodate me in council gatherings! Any days in mind anyone? I wont mind a short trip away to Redang or smthing if Guanghao or someone plans :D

I think it's been like half a yr or more since my blog entry, so contrary to Denise's and Nat's beliefs, the blog is not mine lol i like going to read Chinghui's blog once in a while, always looking out for familar names and pictures and being lucky at times :) Ok la I think I shall go to bed, this being a subdued entry lol take care everyone! Havent received an email from any of u in absolute ages, but then again everyone's busy leading their lives hah enjoy going back to council camp and all e mini reunions at Chompx2

hello guys! heres a rare blog entry on the council blog from me... :D

anyway im now back in rj doing relief teaching (together with chengchai) and there are many changes around school, so ill post them here to update everyone who misses school haha.

anyway, the house system is well in place, and now each house has a house crest with a house animal. i dont think this part is new, but the next part is. the house crest is printed on a house flag. once a week (or maybe twice, i never really pay attention), during flag raising, the house flags will be raised alongside the singapore flag and the college flag. yes, there are now 5 poles on the parade square to the left of the singapore and college flag poles.

announcements are also no longer made at the science labs, but instead, at the level 3 empty walkway, so the students wont have to turn 90 degrees to listen to announcements, then turn back to face the flags to sing the anthem. there is a proper podium-like area constructed there now.

the lockers in the whole school are all revamped too. and now the lockers are all nice and new and coloured, according to the 5 house colours. yes, that means lockers are categorised by houses. two of the houses (if im not wrong its MT and another house) have their lockers on the first floor, outside the council room area. the remaining houses' lockers are located on the fourth floor. this arrangement can be quite unfair, and it seems to be permanent since the lockers dont seem to be movable, so i dont think theyll do a house-locker rotation kind of thing.

theres also a newly opened pond, known as the raffles biodiversity pond. (doesnt sound very original to me). haha... theres a mini waterfall and also a small wooden bridge that allows you to get close to the pond. in addition, theres a small wooden pavillion just beside the pond, for those who feel that listening to the flow of water is therapeautic or a good form of destressing.

and heres a little update about whats going on in school right now.

in school, the elections for the 29th students council is ongoing. they have completed the peer/self nomination stage, and just concluded the interviews stage. prior to the elections, there was a board set up in the canteen (placed conspicuously), featuring all the 28ths, each having a column on their own to say what council means to them. i felt that it was quite a nice idea.

anyway, as a teacher, i get to, or rather, have to write comments for all the students that i teach, and evaluate their suitability as a councillor. i teach 5 classes, so theres actually quite a lot of students that i have to evaluate. im not sure how much the teachers' comments count but it was a nice feeling to be able to be part of the elections process and to have a say in deciding who some of our future 29ths will be. there are some potential candidates from my class so i hope theyll make it through and be my great grandbuddy haha.

when school reopens in a week's time, the list of candidates that make it for campaigning stage will be released, and then there will be campaigning and subsequently the 29ths will be elected. and so, that means council camp will be coming soon too! :D

With the rate of responses/entries to this blog, sometimes I do wonder if anyone actually knows of its existence. But I saw some 26ths today and they remarked about my entries in the blog so at least I know that there are still people around who reads my nonsense :>

A week on a year ago, I was at pre-departure/Uk bound at Suntec city. Unfamiliar faces of the seniors, new freshers, or just generally people going to UK from all over, boring talks, freebies up for grabs... and I know I am about to move on to a new big stage of life, where everything will be so different from the comfort of the council rm ( which till this day, has thankfully retained its charm :)

After UK bound that day, I went for rag day! it's nice to be a crasher, seeing people that I always see and feeling happy about seeing them. some councilors and ppl i know were involved in medicine dance so it was quite funny seeing them all painted up etc. ended off e day with taking pictures with soem of them..

In the blink of an eye, a year has passed

I went for UK bound today, as a more experienced 2nd-year-to-be, with my 35 copies of the freshers guide to oxford. seeing people coming up, introducing themselves, asking the funniest qns, trying to be as frenly and nice as i possibly could, playing a fool and rating the girls (:P). Not much has changed, has it?

I doubt e 25ths can ever expect another Josie-planned-trip to Tioman, that's one thing for sure. All the enthusiasm about organizing council gatherings, about mass meeting ups, soccer games, begging ppl to turn up, lol, i m afraid I don't have much of that left. Maybe it';s because I am tired, maybe because I am sian, or maybe because I have lost the passion. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing the 25ths on makan noobs two, altho e driving was quite tiring. I am looking forward to charles or gh organizing another gathering when I m back in a week's time. I enjoyed my soccer game and couldnt stop laughing when gh smashed the ball against the post at least 5 times. all these moments will always be special to me :)

but somehow, mabe I am resigned, resigned to the fact that many ppl have moved on in life, and when ppl move on in life, things of the past become memories, beautiful memories, but no more than that, not smthing tt they hope to retain and make it seem as though nothing's changed, tt life is as it was, outside the council rm in e mornings where everyone gathers for a nice chat before going to class, outside the council rm again in the afternn after sch where we do random things there..

Perhaps i was too free over the 10 mths of break, that I tried to act as though leaving JC jus means a physical separation from school.

1 year on, I know that my friends have moved on iin life, without me, and I should move on in life, and stop looking back to the past... because i did throughout my time there, as much as I could, with the emails back, and now i realize, i prob wont have e energy to sustain that, or that all tt is left of council, is a gathering once in a while, when I am back hopefully :)

28th Council Investiture

Today was the 28th Council Investiture! Girls: Xin, Amy, Amanda, Kangya Guys: Me, Koo, Guanghao, Yowie, Ilman (for a while), Bto, Kwan, Abhi my favourite indian, Datou. 13/52! That's 1/4 of the council, which is pretty impressive. I realised the sudden increase in guys this year compared to last year (if any, aherm, Josie) because we were all stuck in army. Its no surprise then that amongst the 26ths only Iwan, Jun How Alvin could make it out. The rest of the 26ths were girls.

Anyway highlights of the investiture:

1. The company of your fellow 25ths!
2. Seeing the council teachers Ms Ong and Ms Hor and various juniors.
3. Listening to the "investiture" version of the investiture song, which is different from that on youtube. And seeing the co-composer in person haha.
4. Taking the council oath again even though we've a vague impression of half the words. Can you remember the peak of our council oath prowess on the rooftop 3 years ago?
5. Singing the college anthem
6. Doing random school cheers to get high.
7. Eating free food at the reception at the amphitheatre! :D:D:D
8. Crashing of the Hodge Lodge. I tell you it is an amazing place!!!
9. Jacking Josie even though he wasn't around (oh but he is! haha, check out your facebook soon.)
10. Admiring Abhi's swanky cool, flowing locks.
11. Sitting Yowie's car to J8. (Applies to me, datou and gh and obviously yowie only)

In summary, it was a great outing! :) 25ths FTW. Though we aren't in RJ anymore, we sure had our fun times and are still having them! thanks everyone for a great day!

soccer/28th invest

heys. a few 25ths played soccer today at the RJ semi-d. Yowie, Lizhan, Chas, Matt, Koo, Guang Hao and Me. The aircon in the hall was good! :) We visited the hall because the 28ths were having investiture rehearsal.

Anyway we heard that the 24ths played soccer with the 28ths and the 26/7ths or something like that last saturday... where are we in all this?! We shall have inter-council challenges again mwahaha. And do what is right once and for all. :)

Invest is at 12.30pm on Wednesday, 7th May... Lets meet at say, 11.30am+? Then we can stone about and laugh at each other and visit the canteen vendors before invest. I don't know if everyone reads this so will spam the yahoogroups with the timing and the meeting timing. :)

I am on the bus to oxford now and some stupid van jus crashed the bus rear window hahaha ok it was really quite lame tho not too dangerous then another bus came to give us his mirror LOL anyway..

I muz say this visit back has been rather hushed hushed and rushed etc and yeah sorry that I didnt get to meet most of u muggers out there (doesnt help tt my break timing is one of the worst arnd eh) but yeah to those whom I saw/smsed, it's nice even to message ppl hahaha esp since it;s so ex to sms in uk (one sms costs 30cents :S) so yeah hope everyone is doing alright!

I have finally figured out what the stupid rumors were about....

On 20 march, presumably the day when the first year medicine councilors ended their first bout of exams, josie aka me went to meet up with a grand total of 1 person. i mean, ONE PERSON. surprise surprise, it's a girl! wohooo! just one on one le. he's self declared chairman of her fan club somemore n he's plannign to take it international u know.... ok enuff of the nonsense, I asked one of my closest frens out becuz she, who happens to be our prom queen, was only free tt day and i was gg back to indon the next day. don't any of u stupid guys have close female frens huh?

And now for the origins of the rumors which i don knoe came out from where ( SCH u better justify urself), on that fateful day, I took the bus down to borders library because dearest zain was looking at books there (thankfully i didnt find her at anatomy section lol) and at borders I saw licia and amy and random ppl here n there! AHA!! so after 2 days of jacking (even coming from jerry my classmate!!! how the hell does such weird rumors spread? n even if it';s the case-which i will jus to prove my point the next tiem i come back, wads wrong? HAHA) I FINALLY FIGURED OUT that only askign the medicine girls out = seeing the girls in borders...

so.. the grand total of councilors i have met goes as follows (met means seeing for like 5 mins on the streets lol):

OK let me start by saying this: I am sooo happy to see entries here! hahaha finally after maybe 10 times to clicking back to this site, i see an entry! :D:D:D hahaha ok as for my defence, and a bloody big one, I have met up with guanghao charmaine n xinling who bother to make e effort to meet me! Dr Sia, wad is the probability tt u will bother to meet me huh u r totally drowned in ur studies tt u prob don even knoe tt i m back before I sent u A MESSAGE! HA! DEFEND URSELF! haha n i have met kwan in church, meeting chas n hopefully matt after church, i have met senthil on a one-on-one date tooo! and opther than dat for the past 1.5 weeks, i have been an incredibly guai boy and been chauffeuring my parents arnd (and not getting excited over the p plate- in fact my 2nd sis got quite sian of the thing (my 5th sis uses it haha) tt she took off the triangle :P:P

Anyway i really hope tt the guys can meet up to play soccer, but what are the chances rite.. sigh see see I wanna meet up with the guys lor but u guys r just so busy n not want to meet me, what to do? hahaha and in college, i hang out with guys 100% of the time u know! even if got girls, it's a big grp le! I have guai guio zi xin! I was in school today, to play some soccer and I decided to walk around RJ and pop by the council room also. There were 2 people in it, people whom I didn't know but know now. Shu Ting and Genevieve, if that's how you spell their names. Today happened to be council camp dry run day and they were also settling council elections stuff. Council campaigning started last friday! Its going on next week too, so you can see groups of people putting up banners and destroying the school with posters.

Miss the days when we'd just hang around the council room doing nothing. You know, Hwa Chong has this students' council gathering thing organised by the current council. Its some event where all the councillors come together to meet up. As in many batches come together at once. I think its a swell idea. How can we lose out!! =)

Oh yes, council camp this year is from the 11th - 13th of April. It seems to have been pushed forward by one week compared to the past few years. (Two days before biochemistry!!! argh.)

To josie: rumour has it that you went out with the girl 25ths and not with the guys in when you were in Singapore!!! defend yourself.

Happy mugging my medicine friends, have fun at army to the guys and to the girls at school, um, happy mugging (includes josie).

Haha harlow I am back agaiN! Thought tt I will post an entry so as to encourage some of u lazy faggots in army to do e same :P Anyway I am back at mugging land! I came back to study (from london) for what is termed as collections (to recollect wad u learnt last term hur hur) so yeah didnt really do much work so over the past week i was trying to chiong my revision which was damnnnnn sian and guess wad! I got a mail yest saying that collections r cancellled!!!!! Garh I feel so cheated la! Studied so hard lor hahaha oh wells tt sounds really kiasu of me but yeah feeling damn sian abt trying to do anytign academical now so yeah here i m! :)

Anyway I MISSSS HOMEEEE!! n I m sure Jun will b e 1st to say e same :S:S we definitely did have fun at scotland n all but yeah (for a change let me boost ur egos) it is really different being home and going for the council mega expedition and jus seeing eveyrone n gg for kbox-ing. We celebrated Xinyi and Bryon's birthday today outside the LT after our lecture... Co-ordinated by Amanda and Licia (and maybe some more but I don't know who so we're thankful also). Denise wasn't available to co-ordinate the celebration but she was remembered.

Basically Han Long was trying to take photos of Amy and Amanda but Amanda kept on closing her eyes when the flash went off. So after 3 tries, Han Long suggested that Amanda close her eyes first then open her eyes wide when he finished counting to three before he took another shot. So Amanda closed her eyes, trying very very very hard not to laugh and both Amy and Amanda got into a pose...

I survived the 1st day of school, literally

With many cuts...

After the long awaited anticipation for another entry, here I am! Hahaha I finally got my bike at my college because it's very far away from city centre (takes at least 20 mins to walk to my lectures and buses are damn ex) and I rode to school! and crashed to the bushes...

Haha yes it's really stupid I must admit. I was with my course mate and we were riding together to school. The Ang mohs are really much faster than me so I try to keep up and in e end I just tell them to go ahead without me. Ok back to the stupid morning story.. This guy was in front of me and he cut up a pavement because there was a stupid truck at the cycling lane, and stupid me thought that I could do the same too and in the end I crashed to the scrubs and bleah (see pictures below)

This was 8 hrs after I got the cuts so it's pretty dried up already. Sigh there are only 5 ppl in my college doing econs n management and they are all guys! I have to ride very quickly to keep up with them and with my lack of balance it's not worth it I guess. And I almost got knocked down by a london cab which was yeah pretty jia lat because I was in such a hurry to get to lect... Hopefully my cycling gets better and by next yr I will be council's no 1 cyclist :P

I have got work to do now so I shall keep this short lol I tried to wash my clothes last Saturday (sounds pretty simple isn't it, just dumping the clothes to the washing machine and use a dryer on it later). The problem was when I entered the room with the stuff I saw 4 machines, 2 sets of 2 identical machines. one was washing clothes and the other was out of order. So Mr joker-me opened one of e other 2 machines and wondered how all this works. Then I dumped everything into that machine and went "hmmm there's a green button, so that should be the next step right?" and clicked tt n e machine works! But it was quite weird because I didn't have to pay 1 pound to get the machine going and it was producing really weird noises! I stood there for a while and finally my neighbor whose clothes were in the machine came. so I asked her "Hey do you know how this thing works?"

"Oh it's a dryer..."

Yeap. I put my unwashed clothes into the dryer! Hahahhaa so stupid right? I took out the clothes and they were all hot! The amazing thing was how the dryer even functions withou me putting 20pence in... anyway she was highly amused and went "Do you put the washing powder into the machine?!" "Er... There's a need for washing powder?" [faints]

In the end she ended up lending me her washign powder and some softener and taught me how to use the machine... hahahaha incredibly lame isnt it? Ok i gtg! Eh ppl overseas n in Singapore, blog her eonce in a while le. I really don want this to end up becomign my personal blog.. Oh I have squash trials with the Oxford Blues captain on Wednesday afternoon! I missed the uni one because I thought I will get thrashed so I signed up for college squahs instead.. ended up winnign quite comfortably against the captain lol but university Blues is a totally different thing. I think I will propose just playing best of 3 sets so that I can go all out esp when my stamina is sooooo bad, and my butt hurts because of the bumps during cycling...

Haha sorry guys and girls, I think that if I don;t get too much depression in the UK< you can expect random entries at this place. I am leaving! See boss, I don't whine and I don't feel like crying or nostalgic 6 hrs before I go to the airport you know... Going there at 6am in the mornign seriously defies natural cycle of life and I am certainly not pleased with the prospect of few people to send me off HAHAHA ok pardon my big ego but yes I still think it will die down quite badly after I have come to realize my inadequacies and accept that I don;t fit in...

Went for supper with classmates earlier and this guy at the counter went "Hey dude how are u!" "fine...?" Ahhh the angmoh land, tt's wad we call it. I am supposed to be sleeping now since I am supposed to be fresh tomorrow, but I am still sticking to my initial concept of following the British clock when I sleep. In other words, I am supposed to only sleep at about 3am, which is not a very attractive prospect considering I will wake up 2 hours later. I am feeeling so tired now with all the hectic packing (which is finally done) and catching up with people and doing random things before I go that it seems like yesterday since my last blog post.

On a side note, Kboxing rocks! Quite a good turnout actually :) With Kangya being our stefanie sun (wo men yong yuan zhi chi ni!) It will be at least 10 more months before another Kbox session, "who's the boss" and even sessions of Jack Josie, in which ironically will be somehow missed if I do get too isolated in the land far far away. PLeaseee whoever is involved in those 3 things I mention above (with least priority on the latter), make sure that we meet up kae? There's a new facebook group for councilors and personally I don't think it was a fantastic idea since our own group is dead, and this blog barely surviving hahaha thanks Chings and Kangya for tagging! Why don u blog ah :P

Alright then, I am feeling tired now. It shouldnt be too long before entries of school comes here. This's what listening to everyone talk about their uni life and crashing nus brings about: missing lessons. Gosh I cant believe I'll ever say that. I can't find anyone to talk to online anyway... maybe they are sleeping now so that they can wake up early tomo! Such big ego isn't it? It is really inflated by you guys. I told myself I will burst tt big ego before I go though I know tt doesn';t make sense.

That was the last time any councilor last had an entry here. Slightly more than 2 years have passed since the picture at the top right hand corner was 1st taken. the years gone by, the experiences, the memories, are captulated in the photos tt I browse through sometimes, jus for reminiscence.

The past 9 mths have been a period where some of us have just stayed where we are, looked around our surroundings, holding on to the ppl we care for, hoping tt nothign will ever change, tt time will stop, tt we will be happily stuck in this comfort zone forever. no more anxieties, no more loneliness, just being content with the state of affairs...

Those days are gone, aren't they?

I will never spend 9 mths doing nothing ever again. I will never b able to go back to RJ n relive everything again. It happened so quickly and time has just flown by and I just cannot believe I will be leaving the ppl here to go away.

When we go back this sunday, it will officially mark 2 years (and 2 days since it will be e 3rd day of council camp) that we first met one another! Time flies doesnt it? from then we starting going on our crazy and once-in-a-lifetime journey of staying in school till unearthly hours doing the stupidest craziest things from creating red apples to cutting paper strips for open house to watching tennis girls play lob shots tt caused us to end our GM so late to coming to school at 6 am in e morning at dear Charles' demand to coming back on Saturday for cc dry run n having e best attendance ever to going for PIP n 25th farewell to Grad Night n ending our 2 yrs in school...

Garh I seriously don't feel like moving on to uni n overseas.. why muz we all go our separate ways?! cant we jus all stay in singapore n forever stay in those times where we can talk crap about what happiness is and coming back on sundays to clean up the council room (ok the latetr thought is kinda scary but still tt's not the point) Then we'll go to another world of environment or friends and there wont b 52 of us meeting together ever again!

Before this blog turns into an all girl thing and before it grows moss, let me write something in here, hopefully enough to inspire my fellow NSF to pen down random entries as well.

Our two outings were such a blast! Big thank yous to the organizers. A pity to those who couldn't make it, like Josie for example, because it was nice just catching up. Most of the talk revolved around the army though. This means that girls should tell us more about their lives so that the sharing will not be lopsided.

Can't believe its only 1 month to POP! Time really flies when you don't really have time to think about things. Its just PT, looking forward to cook house food and PT from now on for those who have completed the major events. Yes, the cook house food is actually rather delicious! Had ice-cream 3 times already for dessert.

helloo everybody! (: haha YES JOSIE i'm here to save you of boredom by updating something! anyway, seems like most of you are too busy to update! and of course, with so many of our guys away in tekong, it's the girls' responsibility to try and keep this blog active yarh? heh.

so yes. I WENT BACK TO SCHOOL the other day! ((: whee. gonna lose my freedom from the coming week onwards after work starts so i figured i shld go back and visit first. yes i'm finally going to make my life useful instead of rotting at home haha! and yes it made me miss school terribly. council room and the area outside it!! the council room has been refurnished! each 26th has his/her own cubby hole now! pretty cool. and the room seems more spacious so it's nice. oh, and they painted the walls over with white paint! so it looks cleaner now (: yeapp! the new rule - totally no shoes allowed in the council room at all. not only the "no-shoe zone". yay. cleaner council room! ((:

anyway, i hope all our army boys are doing fine! oh josie, i heard that for the earlier batch their POP is on 13th march and for the later one (jan) batch it's on the 14th. and it's supposedly a 1 week break. so if you want to organise the trip thingy, guess this period is good! (: met up with cedric and jonny just now and heard many army stories. heh. especially since cedric just returned from his fieldcamp. those of you going for fieldcamp soon - JIAYOUU! (:

Sigh.. why doesnt anyone post any entries on our blog? :( keep bored people like me updated and with something to do le haha... anyhow I am still in my small little comfortable and boring hometown of pontianak! I have taken driving lessons as of now, gotten my driving lisence and waiting to go to jakarta next monday n try to get it converted to ASEAN lisence :)

My house is getting renovated! apparently the flooring is super old so it's gotta be polished and the ground floor is in a total mess as of now. but it's quite funny becuz the workers had to put some glue to be dried up overnight and I actually saw lizards on the floor, motionless, becuz the glue got stuck onto them and basically they cant move at all wahahahaha

Okay that sounds quite evil... but I am feeling extremely bored now and I cant wait for the tennis lesson to begin in abt half an hour. it's quite cheap actually but the coach is a money-faced guy so i got quite pissed off by his greediness:( I think i am really running out of things to write so somebody pls say/plan smthing! :) tata hope e girls are finding joy in their work n e guys r becoming men in army :P

Hai why is our blog and yahoo groups so dead? :( anyhow to all Singaporean guys going into army (or already in there), good luck for BMT and BE A MAN! Hahaha as you can see I am obviously feeling very bored now... I just reached Pontianak, my ever quiet and peaceful hometown, about 4 hours ago and already I am feeling sian. But believe it or not, it has internet connection! Hahaha so if anyone misses me just come online in the afternoon and I think I will be online lol my mum somehow likes coming to the office so I pressume she'll drag me along to just sit and stone, so entertain me!

Oh by e way I am going to learn driving so soooon! first lesson is just an hour away.. I am starting with a manual gear though and honestly I don't think the experience of daytona and Lizhan's idiotic turbo is making me very excited as of now. But having gotten drenched in the rain for the past 2 days in Singapore, I am determined to make sure that the next time I go back to Singapore, I will have had an ASEAN license (apparently Pontianak no longer does them) and I can drive the West-ies home if we do go out for a council outing at Chompchomp! then again i think I will prefer crashing someone's house...

Ok I am so absolutely rambling and I think it is obvious that since we are unlikely to meet for the next few weeks, please talk crap here! hahaha I think I will be back once the O level results are released so tt we can go and play and drink a bit the night before the much feared A results pop out... helloooo everyone! our blog's kinda dying! cannooottt! datou i've done my part! your turn!

anyway, yesterday's outing was good! after going around the school feeling old =/ and missing orientation all over we headed down to mind cafe! but sadly, it was fully booked!! =( so we went over to paradiz instead to eat (we saw the actor terence chao there haha!). it was pool after that and arcade! OMG wes is super PRO at para para!!! ask josie or chings for video clip! hahaha. mattie tried to challenge, armed with his pro dance skills! and he did well too! but no fancy twirling of wrists and funky patterns. wes still wins! haha. and then it's dinner at manhattan fish market! (:

The RJC students' council pwnzed the SA council 2-0 yesterday in a hard fought match in which we finally discovered the ability to string more than 3 passes together. Attendance was spectacular, with one die-hard jason fan turning up for RJ with a few moderately chio SA girls making up the spectator numbers.

Within the 5th minute, RJC was got their noses in front thanks to a spectacular dipping free kick by ilman, who put his considerable bulk behind the shot to power it pass the helpless, flailing keeper. Who needs David Beckham? The RioFerdinand bazooka celebration was contemplated, but everyone was just running around like headless chickens in glee.

Soon after, Lizhan burst down the flank and cut into the penalty area having been set free by a long clearance, but could not finish off the chancce for the lack of support as everyone was still stuck back in the RJC half. Cries of "good job" were heard from the bench from our solitary female supporter. Or perhaps josie.

Both teams attempted to push forward in attack, resulting in pretty much a midfield scrap in the first half, though lizhan and guanghao both missed good chances to double the lead after getting themselves into good positions. In separate off-the-ball incidents, Lizhan had a nice chat with the SA central defender, and josie left the technical area to stand next to the girls.

At the other end, RJC had a scare as SA bundled the ball into net, but the goal was disallowed for an earlier infringement. Nazi giggled happily. The teams went into the break with the score at 1-0. Matthew, Just and Jason put in commanding performances in the middle of the park while the central defensive partnership of Ilman and Gautam held firm, refusing to let the SA strikers get a sniff of goal. Charles and Senthil as left backs effectively shackled the opposing wingers.

The second half began at a frenetic pace with the SA team going all out for an equilizer, and RJC on the back foot attempting to repel the repeated attacks. This, however, left them vulnerable to a counter attack as their defensive line was often caught too far forward. Yowie(me) was sent tumbling by a late challenge from a rather jolly SA left back. An earlier cut on the knee inflicted by guanghao in warmup was perceived to have been sustained then and the left back guiltily apologised a few times. hee. RJC, however, was unable to take advantage of this, and almost paid the price a few minutes later when a goalmouth scramble ended in the ball being hastily hacked away by Senthil for a throw in.

The referee was a popular little boy for the first few minutes of the half as everyone wanted to talk to him. He was almost subbed off after failing to control the game, but there was no one to sub and we decided he would improve after warming up.

With barely time to catch their breaths, RJC found themselves conceding a penalty to a dubious handball call soon after. The subsequent penalty, however, was poorly struck and cannoned off the chest of nazi who collected without bother. The RJC players ran back to their positions punching the air in celebration. Deja vu, anyone?

From then on, play was once again dictated by SA attacks and RJ counterattacks, trying to use the speed advantage of their wingers to catch the SA defence off guard. RJ almost got through again when Yowie (me) intercepted a defensive pass but he (me) was quickly closed down. RJ had another half chance when Senthil like an overfed tank went on a rampaging run down the left flank from his own goalline into the opposing penalty area before being dispossesed just as he was preparing to centre it to lizhan.

In the 75th minute, the scoreline read 2-0 thanks to a large slice of luck. Leehoo dispossessed an SA midfielder in his own half and began to charge towards goal before laying it off to an unmarked Yowie (me). Closing in on goal with only the goalkeeper to beat, Yowie (me) swung at the ball but ended up slicing it terribly off target. The miskick, however, gave the ball a spin of F1-engine level rpms (revs-per-minute). Combined with a very wet pitch, this resulted in the ball cannoning off the standing leg of a helpless SA defender to loop over the line and nestle in the bottom corner with the goalkeeper stranded. Game, set and match. Matthe rather insensitively started laughing as he came for the high five.

The last 15 minutes went by uneventfully, and cheers of celebration rang out as the referee whispered the final whistle (the whistle was broken and made a pathetic, wheezing squeak).

The obligatory cheers were sung, and basking in the cheap thrill of an official-feeling match, both teams decided to form tunnels and shake hands with every player twice. It was all good fun. RJ would have dunked josie (football's first female manager!) to celebrate the win and thank him for his efforts in organising the match, but there was no pool, only toilet bowls.

A few players went to KFC to celebrate and eat a very belated lunch, where they called junki and kangya on speakerphone. Nobody heard what they said though, as everyone was hollering away. I think kangya made a few surprised noises. They players then went home satisfied with a deserved first-ever win in their council soccer playing careers, and lived happily ever after.

Teams: RJC: Nazi, Charles, Chinghui, Senthil, Ilman, Gautam, Matthew, Just, Shawn, Jason, Iwan, Yowie, Lizhan. and the first half referee (Iwan).

SAJC: 6 number 28s and 5 number 29s. and the second half referee(who was the j1 council prez).

but yup! it's near open house again, and i rmbr us staying back late 2 weeks in a row, without going home for dinner at all. i rmbr us pasting and cutting the colourful flags, the balls of twine, darren hanging the pretty sails down from the amphi, learning the befrienders dance at the amphi (and how some of us tried to run away oops :P), just and matthew handling the befrienders meeting in lt2, befriending pple on the day itself, hanlong performing at the amphitheatre... Happy Teachers' Day! This is what you guys who were busy mugging missed. The concert was very hilarious, just ask any J1 and you'll know why. I have some videos as well (hehe) but they are too large to be uploaded. Probably when there's more free time...

Yea so the teacher was teaching some RJ street dance. The moves are very interesting. That's all I have to say. Can ask kangya, charles, abhi for more info.

Then there was a magic show, PE dept's performance, and the new teachers' skit. Don't you think the male teacher looks like CCC?

I went back to RI to catch up with teachers, unlike the Chinese High people in council who didn't go back. (personal) I discovered that there were new Principle of honours in the classrooms! They had a nice silver background, no longer the usual white ones.

And this is a picture of chork who was very red because he said something strange. No photo editing! Btw, he didn't sleep for more than a day so that explains why he was high and said something funny. =) Ok, that ends the teachers' day post...

hmm...our blog seems quite stone so tot i'd just post something here since im sian of doing my report anyway.

after choir prac on saturday, my choir president was sharing with us about how he was still in contact with his school teachers. anyway what was interesting was that he was called back to his jc to give a career guidance talk (even tho he's only been working for 3 months now). so was just thinking how many of us would be coming back to rj to do random stuff like teach or give talks or wadeva...haha...oh. he didnt accept the invitation in case u were wondering.

ct's havent been very good. for those who have been getting straight a's good job. the rest of us jiayou k? next one is prelims le cannot screw up.

one of my friends asked me y councillors always hang around the council room. its like the first place u go to when u reach sch or the last place u go to before u leave is the council room. i also dunno. maybe its just sumwhere u know that u'll always find ppl u know. or maybe its just the sense of belonging that draws u to a place u feel that u belong to. or maybe we're just damn boliao ppl who have nowhere betta to go. haha. i realli dunno. anyone has anything to say?

for those of u who've been lending support throughout my pre-camp period when i was super stressed n uptight n wadeva, thank u so much. the preparation period was hell cuz i had to pass this time to get psa, so sorry if my moodiness affected anyone. just for updates, the camp went pretty well (i think i did ok la..)...got more slp than i tot i would...cuts n bites were standard, but the rain sucked. o well. got thru it, results shld be out in bout 2 weeks time? i think. praying hard. :P

there's about 24 + 8 more hours to our first paper (for most of us). i think i'll fail some of my subjects this time again, was hoping i would do better, but i really dont think so now. so i shall blog.

was qute discouraged for a long while this holidays (and i reached the stopping potential/ saturation point and i connected all my synapses!! haha ok that was rubbish). but somehow studying around people always made me more encouraged :)

went for this dialogue session today at NYC (ilman! they took the names from the PM dialogue session thing cos i met the same pple! but this time all the girls got called back but not the boys cos i think they ate too much food up the last time haha and the food this time wasn't as nice too hee) and they talked abt the casino issue, national identity and i think everyone (including the panel) sort of decided that the most impt distinguishing factor between youths and adults was the amt of passion shown sometimes. and i just thought abt how we sometimes have so much passion to do something but not enough time to pursue it because we need to fulfil this minimum grade criteria first... but oh well haha maybe it's just cos CTs are arnd the corner. sigh, but itwas quite cool! i met a social worker! she looks so happy all the time! :) i got to talk to her about what they do! she says they help littleeeee children! (((((: hehe i shall consider it too. thenthen we had a phototaking session and after that i turned around and guess who i saw - JING JUNHONG! hahahaha i dunno why i gave a loud gasp and then my friend said "shake hand shake hand" and that's what we did hahaha. must have been embarrassing :]

anyhow, just now, amelia and i and josie were studying in interchange macs and we stayed till late enough to watch the 11PM GERMANY vs SWEDEN! (hhahaha who says i don't watch soccer :P heh but i still asked amelia alot of qns lah.) the atmosphere at macs was THRILLING! there were so many collective OOHs and AAHHs it's so exciting haha. now i can understand why pple get addicted to it (: we watched both the goals go in! and oh we met an rj tchr and harish there too! but we didn't stay to finish watching the whole match :\

haha exciting right! one day we must all go down to watch together, and catch the atmosphere! and lets go support national track and swim toooooo! ahha i think i'm finding all ways to get out of studying :\

didnt get to watch sg idol yesterday :( my mum decided to take out the tv cable cuz my bro was watching to much tv (and my com monitor is the tv as well). hope the singing was good.

I voted a couple of times for Meryl! Hope she goes through lah, otherwise there won't be any good in watching the next few idol episodes anymore.

Besides, Jason's speech during invest told us to support our schoolmates in their endeavours, no matter what they may be. Don't you think its quite brave to go for idol competition when cts are around the corner.

HI peeps!

this is my first time ever blogging... so exciting. i was inspired by THE BOSS... junli. got back from UK last wk frm MEP trip and i bought chocs 4 u guys :) some how chocolate in europe got different taste... haha. even the average brands like cadbury. shall bring it when sch reopens ;)

anyway... today ced and i went for NS check up with justin lin. its awfully boring. we met junyi. sam jo and nash there too :) haha. we were there frm 9.30 - 3ish. -.- they were having their lunch break so we couldnt do the last station. so we went to have lunch. and then after that we spent god-knows-how-long in front of the computer to do all the tests. -.- what a wasted day... to those who are gg for NS check up, have it at an earlier time so u still have half a day left to do something useful!

hellooooooo everyone.

this is a short note but i shall blog it instead of tag it :P

no hyper note from me today because today has been distressing and discouraging ): while i was out i met two people who were crying on the streeeeeet as they were walking and i felt so sad for them but couldn't do anything ): and today i realised that it's terribly hard to catch upppp .): i spent extra long periods of time staring at my notes and not understanding anything and after a long while i finally reached the last page of my notes, only to realise i dont remember the front part )): although i've 'studied' the topic, i just can't do the questions and don't get the answers. sigh, the price to pay for not conscientiously studying hard enough )))))))): sorry for complaining!!

on a lighter note, i played captains' ball with the kids in school yesterday (: they were sooo cute and one of them took a photo with me before i left yay! (: and i also managed to trick daryl and kangya and amanda and ilman too (online) heh! hahaha anyhow, tomorrow's the start of world cup! hopefully tomorrow will be a better day (:

on another note, someone told me about XJC council. apparently their j1 batch already has split into two rival camps of the glams and the unglams. they hate each other so much, it's so politicky. and they haven't even got through their council camp! ZOMG.

i heard about other councils too, and they've got tons of backstabbing and stuff going on. but nothing of that sort has ever happened in our council. not that i can think of. it's such a nice place to be, council. and it's all thks to all you guys. thank you all so much :D
